Player Expectations
“You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them”
Michael Jordan

Each member of the Lady Bear Soccer team is expected to:

1.    Maintain good academic standing, 70 or above in regular classes and a 65 or above in AP classes: No Pass, No Play.
2.    Be a positive role model for the community, the team & yourself. The use of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs is strictly
prohibited.
3.
You must attend all practices. However, if you must miss a practice, you will be expected to make it up in any way
possible.
4.
Communicate to me as soon as possible on anything soccer related, no matter how small or trivial.
5.
Be on time to everything.  “30 minutes early is better than 30 seconds late!”
6.
If you have an injury, it is your responsibility to report it to your coach.  We expect you to receive treatment from the
trainer and keep us informed of any changes.
7.
Be respectful to everyone all the time, which includes teammates, teachers, and referees.
8.
When at practice give 100%: Your teammates deserve your best as you deserve the best from your teammates.
9.
Never be afraid to take a chance, and always do your best.  You will never improve if you do not step outside your
comfort zone and challenge yourself to become better.
10.
The number one expectation is to always HAVE FUN! If it’s not fun, then why are you doing it?

 I.            Establish your expectations of yourself

“Some people dream of success, others wake up and achieve it”

II.            Establish your expectation of your teammates

“You can judge a man by the company he keeps.”

III.            Establish your expectation of this team

“Sometimes it is not good enough to do your best; you have to do what is required.”
