Kelsey Toohey (#9) is a senior at Montgomery High School. She has been playing organized soccer since she was five ye about soccer in the 6th grade when she joined the Trumbull Twisters, a select soccer team in Connecticut. She played forward for the twisters, but after moving to Montgomery her Sophomore year and making Varsity, she found that her speed was better targeted as an outside midfielder. In 2008, Kelsey started playing center midfield as well and is not a very versatile offensive player. Kelsey played for Conroe Rage, Division I in the 2007-2008 season, but has recently joined the Montgomery Soccer Club. Kelsey is ranked in the top quarter of her class and is a member of National Honor Society, Montgomery Cotillion, and Art Club. Her favorite subjects are English with Mr. Johnson and Art with Coach Douglas. Outside of school, Kelsey is very involved in her church and its youth group. In addition, she is currently holding a hostess position at Bing’s Asian Bistro in Willis. She has not yet decided where she will be attending school next year or if she will continue playing soccer, but she is interested in Texas A&M University and Stephen F. Austin State University. Kelsey lives at home with her parents, Ann and Tim, and younger siblings Kieran (14) and Abbey (12.)
